- Empathy: Demonstrating compassion and understanding towards students’ needs and concerns.
- Crisis Intervention: Responding effectively to crises and providing immediate support to students in distress.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address the academic, career, and personal/social needs of students.
- Assess student performance and well-being through various assessment tools and techniques.
- Develop and implement programs to promote a positive school environment and student well-being.
- Provide crisis intervention and support for students facing emotional, behavioral, or social challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success and development.
- Advise students on academic planning, career goals, and educational opportunities.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for students, parents, and staff on relevant topics.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and student progress.
